What to watch on TV tonight: Thursday

Here’s the telly that everyone will be talking about tomorrow.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Hardy Bucks (RTÉ 2, 10.35pm)

There’s a hole in our hearts and in our Thursday night schedules after the finale of The Young Offenders last week, but thankfully Hardy Bucks is back in time to ease our grief. The comedy drama returns with Eddie Durkan enjoying life at Buzz’s house with regular visits from Ciara, who’s becoming increasingly insistent that the pair move out into their own place. Viper’s up to his usual antics, this time he’s selling drugs out of an ice cream van.

Lig Liom (RTÉ One, 7pm)

Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh takes a look at Ireland’s relationship with our native language. She examines the attitude that non-Irish speakers have towards Irish, and meets people whose identities are inseparable from the Irish language. Bláthnaid looks at how the language affects her personal relationships (particularly her marriage), and how speaking Irish impacts her every day life.

Missing: A Prime Time Rewind (RTÉ One, 10.15pm)

This new series kicks off with a look back on four missing person reports that were previously featured on Prime Time. Barry Cummins looks at the circumstances relating to the disappearances of these people and how the cases were subsequently investigated. Tonight, they look at the murder of Elaine O’Hara, who was reported missing and later found to have been murdered by Graham Dwyer.

Everybody’s talking about… Saturday Night Takeaway going ahead without Ant McPartlin.

There’s speculation over who will replace Ant for the last two episodes of this series, with Stephen Mulhern, Holly Willoughby and Scarlett Moffatt as bookies’ favourites.
